Bursa Malaysia has launched a new market, named LEAP Market which aims to provide companies, mainly Small and Medium Enterprises (“SMEs”), with greater fund raising access and visibility via the capital market; and accessible only to Sophisticated Investors (“SI”).

The LEAP Market aims to bring together SMEs and companies, intermediaries, SI and Advisers onto a single platform to create a conducive marketplace to raise funds, a market place that provides for efficient and transparent capital formation and price discovery mechanisms compared to a private market.

LEAP Market is now available at i*Trade@CIMB. To trade in LEAP Market, you must:-

1.   Be an SI or a high net-worth individual / entity as prescribed under Part 1 of Schedule 6 and Schedule 7 of the Capital Markets and Services Act (CMSA) 2007; and

2.   Sign the "Declaration for Trading in LEAP Market (Bursa Malaysia) and Acceptance of Risk Disclosure Statement Form", attach with your income supporting documents and submit to your Dealer’s Representatives accordingly for further action.
